Notice is hereby given to any person with any right or title in interest that the Ashland County Court of Common Pleas in State of Ohio v. Scott Dyska, Case No. 24-CRI-304, has ordered a criminal forfeiture to the State of Ohio the following: One (1) Black Kel-Tec 9mm with serial no. SZG44, and one (1) 2009 Chevrolet Malibu LTZ with VIN No. 1G1ZK577094206015. This property will be dispositioned pursuant to law. This Notice shall be published on the Ashland County website and the Ashland County Facebook page beginning on October 30, 2025 and continuing through and including November 7, 2025, pursuant to R.C. 2981.04(D). This forfeiture is subject to legal interests of third parties who may file a petition asserting a legal interest in the property with the Court within thirty days after the final publication of this Notice. Due to the current federal government shutdown, funding for SNAP benefits have not been secured beyond October. If the federal shutdown continues into November, there will be insufficient funds to pay out SNAP benefits. The Ashland County Department of Job & Family Services is closely monitoring the situation. We will post updates immediately once funding is secured or further direction is received.
